CASA Volunteer Delores CurtisDelores Curtis is a new CASA volunteer who has experience working with children who have special needs. She has a BA in Special Education. Delores is a retired teacher from the New Orleans Parish Public School System.  She has acquired the professionalism and expertise needed to maintain a conducive, safe learning and teaching environment. Delores has learned to be an advocate for children, parents and coworkers.

Becoming a CASA volunteer is just another extension of that same hand of compassion. Delores was born to advocate on behalf of the forgotten child. She was educated to advocate on behalf of the hard to teach child; Delores stands ready to advocate for the silenced child.  She steadfastly believes that to volunteer her time with CASA is to continue her purpose and destiny from birth.
