It’s the most wonderful time of the year and in Central Louisiana, Christmas means music! On Tuesday evening, December 11th, at 7:30pm, the Red River Chorale will present their annual Christmas concert of sacred music, titled “Lessons and Love.” The Chorale’s fifty selected singers will perform over twenty beautiful sacred pieces, accompanied by the cathedral’s magnificent pipe organ and a string quartet, in the format of the English service of Lessons and Carols.  In the stunningly beautiful setting of St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, guests will be transported from darkness to light through Scripture readings, classic choral pieces, and growing candlelight. There will be a reception after the concert for all in attendance.

This concert has become an annual tradition in Central Louisiana, one that marks the beginning of the season for many. It is often sold out, and it is advisable to purchase tickets in advance.  Tickets will be available at the door on a space-available basis, with sales beginning 15 minutes before the start of the program.
