Do you love a good time, good music, good wine and good treats for good measure? Then don’t miss the Red River Chorale’s season finale, “Love and Laughter,” at 7:30pm on Tuesday, May 7th at St. James Episcopal Church, located at 1620 Murray Street in Alexandria. This concert/cabaret/reception has become one of Chorale fans’ favorites. The evening begins in the church with a concert of music both serious and silly about love; then the evening continues in the parish hall with refreshments and a cabaret-style show featuring individual Chorale singers.
The Red River Chorale provides an opportunity for talented singers, both professional and amateur, to sing with a group of like-minded musicians. The Chorale also provides the opportunity for the community to hear excellent choral music, often paired with professional instrumentalists, which has not been available in the past. Through tax-exempt individual donations, ticket sales, and grants from a variety of sources, the Red River Chorale is proud to be a vibrant member of the arts community of the Central Louisiana area since 2005.
Tickets for “Love and Laughter” are $15.00 for adults and $5.00 for students. They are available from Red River Music, at redriverchorale.com and ticket-central.org, and at the door, if space is available. Call (318) 484-4463 or visit www.redriverchorale.com for further information.
