A beautiful, healthy smile is a powerful part of looking and feeling your best. The great news is that orthodontic treatment has never been easier, more efficient, or more affordable.  Our advanced techniques and materials have increased your comfort while reducing your treatment time. And, as you weigh the cost of orthodontic treatment, you should consider the benefits of this lifetime investment: a more beautiful, healthy smile resulting in a more confident you!

Traditional metal braces are the most common type of braces and are more comfortable today than ever before. Made of high-grade stainless steel, metal braces straighten your teeth using metal brackets and archwires. With metal braces, you have the option of adding colored elastics (rubber bands) for a more unique and colorful smile.

For this reason, ceramic braces are used mainly on older teenagers and adult patients who have cosmetic concerns. While they are visually less prominent, they do require more attention to oral hygiene as ceramic braces are larger and more brittle than their metal counterparts. For these reasons, ceramic braces tend to be used more on upper front teeth than on lower teeth.

Invisible, or clear, orthodontic appliances like Invisalign use a series of invisible, removable and comfortable aligners to straighten your teeth. And, no one can tell you are wearing Invisalign because it’s invisible! Not only are the aligners invisible, they are removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment, plus brushing and flossing are less of a hassle. The aligners are comfortable and have no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment.

No matter which appliance you choose, to successfully complete your orthodontic treatment plan, patients must work together with the orthodontist. The teeth and jaws can only move toward their corrected positions if the patient consistently wears the elastics (rubber bands), headgear or other appliances as prescribed.  Drs. R.D. “Jack” Jackson, Jr., D.D.S., M.S.D and R.D. “Trey” Jackson III, D.D.S. have over 35 years of combined experience in the field of orthodontics.  Both doctors are members American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, and the Louisiana Dental Association, with Dr. Jack Jackson holding additional membership in the Louisiana Association of Orthodontics, Central Louisiana Dental Association and the Robert E. Gaylord Orthodontic Study Group..  Both graduates of LSU prior to enrollment in dental school, this home grown father/son team has established a modern facility complete with an open operatory intended to make a more comfortable environment for patients. We are always excited to welcome new patients at our offices. For your convenience, we offer in-house financing with zero interest.
