Rapides CASA Volunteer: Walter Chance
Walter "Walt" Chance

Walter “Walt” Chance has been a volunteer since May, 2005. Walter says the reason he became a volunteer was “so many bad, undeserving things happen to children and they need someone to represent them.”  Following high school, Walt joined the air force and was stationed at England Air Force Base. Walter is also a retired U.S. Postal Service worker.  He is married and has two daughters and three grandchildren.

Walter has coached girl’s softball and is an active member of Kingsville Baptist Church. His hobbies are gardening and wood work.  Walt has been assigned to six cases since becoming a volunteer. He has taken each case on selflessly and has fulfilled his commitment to the children that he serves.
