The Alexandria Museum of Art is partnering with our favorite knitting group, The Red River Stitchers to host a series of monthly stich-ins During the stitch ins, participants can learn to create scarves, hats and plastic mats for the homeless. Beginners are welcomed! We can provide yarn and a limited supply of knitting needles and crochet hooks, on a first come first serve basis. If you would like to purchase your own needles and hooks, and you are making a matt, please purchase a Size Q hook. If you are a beginning knitter purchase needles larger than size 7.
