Who’ll Stop The Rain in Marksville? After the legendary group Creedence Clearwater Revival disbanded in 1972, Stu Cook and Doug “Cosmo” Clifford, who had played together since junior high, remained close. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame rhythm section (bass and drums respectively) Revival launched the Creedence Clearwater Revisited project in 1995 to once again perform live Revival hits. Cook and Clifford may not have intended it, but Revisited has taken on a life of its own. Though the pair initially only planned to play private parties, Revisited now performs up to 100 shows a year and released the album “Recollection.”

Revival’s distinctive swamp rock went against the grain of the ‘60s psychedelic San Francisco and won a worldwide following and numerous gold and multi-platinum singles and albums. It was rebellious, sometimes militant rock, co-opted into three minute radio gems that remain a rock radio and movie soundtrack staple. Since then, Revisited has been playing timeless classics like “Susie Q,” “Lodi,” “Proud Mary,” “Down On The Corner,” “Fortunate Son” and “Who’ll Stop The Rain.”
