On Friday, November 9th, the LSUA Foundation will celebrate the third annual Scholarship Gala at the Alexandria Riverfront Center!  In just two years, you have helped to raise over $300,000 – all dedicated to our scholarship fund for deserving LSUA students.  Your past support and generosity has enabled LSUA to enhance its mission of providing excellent educational opportunities for the citizens of Central Louisiana.

LSUA students reflect the people of Central Louisiana—first time freshmen, returning students who have interrupted their college careers, military veterans, and those who are seeking to change careers; LSUA provides that opportunity to all.  It is not uncommon for LSUA students to be the first in their families to attend college, and some are overcoming major obstacles to make college attendance a priority.  Your tax deductible investment in student scholarships is the confirmation that our students’ goals are your goals!  You are signaling LSUA students that you believe in their potential and have invested in their future.  It is your investment and generous spirit that will help make their dreams come true.

Barry, author of Rising Tide: The Great Mississippi River Flood of 1927 and How It Changed America; then join us as we enjoy the energetic dance sounds of the Bulletproof Brass Band from Dallas, Texas (www.thinkbigband.com ).  It promises to be a fun evening, and all the while, we’ll raise money for scholarships for deserving LSUA students.
