Paragon Casino Resort is excited to announce that Irma Thomas, the Soul Queen of New Orleans, will be taking the stage at Paragon’s Mari Showroom on Saturday, June 19th at 9:00pm. Doors will open at 8:00pm, with tickets listed at $15.00 on sale now.

Today, Thomas ranks among the Crescent City’s R&B greats. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of her debut single, “You Can Have My Husband (But Don’t Mess With My Man),” this year, her upcoming show is sure to thrill fans throughout the decades.

With the release of her 1991 Live! Simply the Best album, Thomas received her first-ever Grammy nomination. In 1993, she released her first gospel effort, Walk Around Heaven. After the Rain, released in 2006, was nominated for a Best Contemporary Blues Album Grammy. Her latest album, Simply Grand, released in 2008, features Thomas in an acoustic setting accompanied by a host of piano players, including Dr. John, Ellis Marsalis and Randy Newman.
