River Oaks Hosts Three New Exhibits for Upcoming ArtWalkRiver Oaks is pleased to once again feature nationally renowned ceramist, Randy Brodnax, for an October 14th reception and ArtWalk.   Brodnax will be featured in the Bolton-Davis Gallery in an exhibit entitled, “Bodacious Experience in Clay.”  Randy Brodnax, a life-long potter and educator from Dallas, Texas, creates everything from functional dinnerware to large decorative vessels to clay sculpture. A Louisiana native, Randy has retained much of the Cajun joie de vivre with which he was raised, and has spent a career building bridges among clay artists of all levels of experience. In workshops, Randy entertains as he shares his knowledge with participants, and helps individuals seeking a refined focus, new direction, or simply camaraderie among clay artists.  Many of Randy’s creations exhibit images of nature, animals and fish. All are unique works of art.

The exhibit dates are October 4th through November 26th.   The October 14th reception from 4:00pm to 9:00pm will also feature works from River Oaks Resident Artist Rhonda Reap Curiel and local artist Marti Hair.  Curiel will showcase her work in the Gallerie des Amis in an exhibit entitled, “The Beat Goes On (The Music I See).   “A Brush with Life,” will feature Martha “Marti” Hair, in the Stokes-Harris Gallery.  All three exhibits are free and open to the public, and will be held in River Oaks Studio Annex Building.   The exhibits are sponsored by Kheli and John Tudor.
