Red River Chorale Logo - 4cThe Red River Chorale is pleased to present Music from the People, the fourth and final concert of its 2012-2013 Season. The performance will be held on Tuesday, April 30th at 7:30pm in the Coughlin-Saunders Performing Arts Center, located at 1202 Third Street in downtown Alexandria.

 

This wonderful evening of music will feature folk music from a variety of cultures, including Johannes Brahms’ Four Gypsy Songs, selections from John Rutter’s Sprig of Thyme, Ron Nelson’s Three Mountain Songs, as well as some fun Sea Shanties! This concert seeks to bring the music from these various cultures past to our audiences to show how universal the language of music can be, and while all of these songs are part of the culture and tradition of their respective countries, they have been arranged in musical settings by such outstanding composers to create a very impressive musical experience for the listener

 

Tickets for this performance are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for student in advance, and can be purchased by calling (318) 484-4463. Tickets can also be purchased at the door at higher rates and available on a first come, first served basis. So, get your tickets early!
