Join Friends of the Alexandria Zoo (FOTAZ) at Wild Night of Art on Friday, May 30th beginning at 6:30pm at Central Louisiana’s wildest venue for an evening unlike any other in the area.  Wild Night of Art is a brand new, adult-only evening event at the Zoo featuring art, wine and wildlife.  All proceeds will support the establishment of the FOTAZ Endowment Fund for the Alexandria Zoo.

Immerse in the picturesque, twilight setting of the Alexandria Zoo and experience the one-of-a-kind Lionarto da Vinci’s Untamed Auction, Pablo Peacockso’s Wine & Hors d’oeuvres, and Monkeyangelo’s Live Music.  Bid on original works of art in Lionarto da Vinci’s Untamed Silent Auction.  Each unique masterpiece is a cooperative effort between a local human artist and one of the zoo’s resident animal artists, including the likes of Bebu the jaguar, Lizzy the green iguana, Lobaye and Sokoto the red river hogs, and many more creative creatures.

Dine on Pablo Peacockso’s delectable hors d’oeuvres and sip a variety of delightful wines and beers available at the cash bar.  We encourage you to drink responsibly and plan for safe traveling after the event.  Soft drinks and water will also be available. Dance to live music on stage and get an exclusive sneak peak of Tah, a one-year-old male lion.  Wild Night of Art will double as his coming-out party.

For nearly 90 years, Alexandria Zoological Park has delighted and educated countless children and adults.  To help secure the long-term future of the Zoo and ensure it will be around for generations to come, Friends of the Alexandria Zoo is establishing an endowment fund.  The fund is to protect against uncontrollable drops in the Zoo’s budget and inevitable fluctuations in community support and earned income, while allowing the Zoo to continue the vital programming that fulfills its mission.  The principal of the fund will remain invested, with earnings either reinvested, or earmarked for selected zoo projects.

Individual tickets are $25.00, or gather your friends and reserve a table of 8 for $225.  Tickets and reserved tables can be purchased on the Alexandria Zoo website www.thealexandriazoo.com or in the Zootique Gift Shop.  All proceeds benefit the FOTAZ Endowment Fund for Alexandria Zoological Park.

Guests must be at least 21 years old to attend this event.  A valid ID is required for admission.  Smoking is not permitted at the Zoo.  This is an adults-only event.  Babies and children will not be admitted. An ATM is available just inside the Zoo near the main gate.
