Alexandria Museum of Art celebrates and supports the creativity of our youth with a festival that will feature art from local students, hands on art activities, and food vendors. The Youth Art Month Festival will be held Saturday, March 14th from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the museum . During the YAM Festival, join us for a Street Art Workshop where you can tag, stencil and paint murals! “Youth Art Month: Art Builds Bridges” exhibition will feature art by local youth in collaboration with area schools, and admission is free!
Share your creative talents and come join us on for the Muse’s Youth Open Mic Event from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, immediately following the YAM Festival. The mic will be open to all young musicians to show off their musical talents and meet new people! Guitarists, vocalists, musical groups, and other performers are welcome. The Muse is an arts club created by teens for teens. AMoA Teen Council has been hard at work planning fun activities for Cenla teens: Abstract Art Workshop, Portrait Drawing Workshop, Teen Open Mic Night, Recycled Art Workshop, Knitting Workshop and much more!
