But it doesn’t have to take away her self-confidence. Look Good … Feel Better is a free program led by a trained volunteer cosmetologist who teaches beauty techniques to female cancer patients in active therapy. July 13: Diabetes Group Class, RRMC Medical Terrance Auditorium, 9:00am – 12:00noon. This program is designed for adults with newly diagnosed diabetes and for people needing a refresher course in diabetes management. This is a basic diabetes program therefore no physician referral is required. The program content follows the American Diabetes Association guidelines and uses a variety of teaching methods to enhance learning. July 16 – August 27: Smithsonian “Journey Stories” Exhibit, Historic Downtown Leesville. The Journey Stories exhibition will focus on tales of our ancestors – the ways and means of how they came to America, as well as the stories of those who simply packed up and moved on, in search of a better life. It will use images with audio and artifacts to illustrate vital changes in transportation technology which have had a direct influence on building our diverse American society.
