“Men Who Cook and Men Who Mix takes place on Saturday, May 16th. Tickets went on sale just this Wednesday and 220 tickets have already been sold,” says Dauzat. “This fundraiser for River Oaks has become a community favorite and it is such a pleasure to both host and plan an event that people love to participate in and attend. We will have nearly 30 stations and over 65 chefs in this year’s competition. Men Who Cook has become a culinary classic as both professionally trained chefs and local gentlemen who just love to cook, vie for the coveted hand crafted signature Men Who Cook Trophy.”
“The champion team is determined by the amount of tips received in their individual tip jars. Menu items are fierce as appetizers, entrees, deserts and specialty drinks are served in this taste testing experience. Tickets will again be $50.00 per person and $60.00 at the door, if available. As of this writing, only three reserved tables remain. We are currently busy finishing the list of our popular silent auction items. This is the event not to miss this spring.”
“Classes are broken into four different sessions and all day options are available,” says Aubrey Bolen. “Classes range from $150 to $245 and some scholarships are available. Like every year, we have made sure to give participants a versatile experience. We always have parents comment about the quality of artwork their children come home with. We pride ourselves in delivering true inspiration to future artists – some of which I fully expect to see in residence here at River Oaks in the years to come.”
