Fifth Annual Hacker’s Cup
Dustin & Kelly Matthews

I would like to personally invite Cenla golfers of all skill levels to participate in the 5th Annual Hacker’s Cup Golf Tournament to benefit the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research on Saturday July 31st at the Alexandria Golf & Country Club.  The 4-man scramble tournament will begin with registration at 8:00am, and the first tee times set for 9:00am.  Following completion of tournament play, an awards ceremony and luncheon, catered by Brocato’s Restaurant, will honor the day’s winners.  Later that evening, Spirits Food and Friends will host an after party event featuring a silent auction and live music by Daniel Smalley at 7:00pm.  Registration is $400 per team of four for the tournament, and after party tickets are available for $10.00 each.  Today, over 5 million people are living with Parkinson’s Disease.  As members of Team Fox, my wife, Kelly and I are part of a grass roots campaign to raise money for the MJFF.

Fifth Annual Hacker’s CupTeam Fox was launched in January 2006 as a way for The Michael J. Fox Foundation to “give something back” to the heroes all over the country who already had made it their personal mission to find uniquely creative and fun ways to raise funds for Parkinson’s research.  The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to ensuring the development of better treatments, and ultimately a cure, through an aggressively funded research agenda.  MJFF is focused on science with the greatest potential to improve the lives of the nearly 5 million people worldwide living with Parkinson’s.  MJFF’s in-house research team, extensively trained in neuroscience and project management, is built to target resources where they are needed most to pay off for patients faster.

Two years ago I lost my grandmother, Della Matthews to this horrible disease.  Our efforts this year will be dedicated to her memory and we would greatly appreciate your support. We believe without fail that our goal is within reach – but we can’t get there without your support.  For more information about the tournament or for corporate event and hole sponsorship opportunities, give me a call at (318) 709-6261.
