Through the support of the Central Louisiana Community Foundation, AMoA opens to doors to its galleries to those with disabilities. While those with special needs are welcome any business day, this designated day offers students, their parents and caregivers an opportunity to visit the Museum for private, stress-free viewing of the exhibits. Specialized interactives will also be in the gallery for hands-on learning, creative inspiration and engagement as well as communication tools.

Texture & Message: Intro to Letterpress Printing

The workshop will introduce attendees to the process of printing through the terms, tools and mechanics of printing, and will move forward to create expressive compositions on a Line-O-Scribe sign press. Open to all skill levels.

5th Annual 5x5x5 Exhibit

The 5th Annual 5x5x5 juried by Virginia Chavis will be in the Bolton Davis Gallery. Upstairs will showcase the work of resident artist JoAnne Thompson. The students in the River Oaks Ceramics Outreach will display some of their work in the Stokes Harris Gallery. Opening Reception/Awards Announcement will be Friday, November 13th at 5:00pm. Masks are required to attend.

Mindfulness in Art Workshop

Pause for a moment and make some mindful art to clear the mind and help you find some peace in these trying times. AMoA Educator, Cindy Blair will facilitate this workshop with MS Clinical Psychology Licensed Addiction Disorder Counselor, Eric Blair and provide mindfulness art making activities that you can practice in your daily life to pause whenever you feel the need arise.
