Bend it Like Benglis Sculpture Workshop

This adult workshop will draw inspiration from the sculptural works of female artist, Lynda Benglis and her approach to medium manipulation. Each participant will create a three-dimensional work of art that includes reactive components and may require the use of some hand tools. All supplies are included. You must be 21 to attend this class. Registration is required.

Figure Drawing In The Gallery

This full-day adult workshop will focus on learning how to draw the human figure including capturing gesture, form, shading and technique. Instruction will include warm-up exercises, short and long pose compositions with a live model. All supplies are included. Registration is required before Monday, May 17th. Families will discuss the sculptures of Lynda Benglis on display in the She Persisted exhibition. Then we will squish, pour and splatter a variety of art materials to learn how Benglis created her own brand of abstract sculptures about how materials move. This will be a real hands on experience to be enjoyed by family members of all ages 6+! Bring up to 4 family members with you for this in-person class.
