Think you’ve got problems? Meet Joseph Melvin Benjamin. He’s a good Joe—loving, devoted family man, devout, successful—a model human. God is crazy about Joe and has lavishly blessed him with riches beyond imagination. But all of that is about to change.
Joe would give the shirt off his back to have his first-born return to faith and, as the object of a high-stakes wager between Heaven and Hell, he discovers he’ll have to do that and a whole lot more! First produced on Broadway in 1974, Simon’s comic take on the biblical book of Job will have you laughing in the aisles! The CPP Production features performances by Jim Weinzettle, Theresa Louviere, Belle Bindursky, Michael Dalme, Bradley Smith, Belle Rollins, Stu Riggar and Dan Forest under the direction of Jim Leggett and Kim Patton.
The show will open on Thursday, June 3rd and run each Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening at 7:30pm, with Sunday matinees beginning at 2:30pm on the Hearn Stage at the Kress Theatre in downtown Alexandria. Reservations are strongly encouraged, but tickets will be available for purchase at the box office before the show. Ticket prices are $12.00 for adults; $10.00 for seniors (65+); and $5.00 for students. The Hearn Stage is located at 3rd & Johnston in Downtown Alexandria in the Rapides Foundation Bldg.
