CASA Volunteer Alexis GreenAlexis Green first came into contact with CASA one evening as she was passing by a sign that spoke of volunteering. From there, she researched to find out exactly what type of work CASA did and became very interested in giving her time to the children associated with the program. Alexis says that she “would like to participate as a CASA volunteer to help children remain children. I want children to enjoy their childhood and remember the good times instead of all the bad times.”

This helping mindset can also be seen in the educational goals that Alexis has set for herself. She is currently attending Northwestern State University, where she is majoring in Political Science. Upon graduation, her plans are to pursue a degree in law. Alexis’ desire is to one day become an attorney so that she can make a difference in our world. As a start, Alexis has begun her work with CASA and is advocating on the behalf of the children to which she has been assigned.
