Caring Christmas at Turning Point

Caring Christmas at Turning PointTurning Point Battered Women’s Program is again turning to the Cenla community for assistance this year with their “Caring Christmas” program.  “Caring Christmas” enables Turning Point to provide Christmas gifts to the women and children in the shelter, as well as non-residential survivors that have been a victim of domestic violence, many of whom lack the resources to provide a bountiful Christmas this year.  You can help make a difference in our community by sponsoring a family, making a monetary donation, or purchasing a new toy valued at $20.00.  Donations are being accepted now through December 18th.

As a part of the “Caring Christmas” effort, Turning Point will hold its “Boot Scootin’ Coin Drive” at the intersection of North Boulevard and North Mall Drive on December 18th.  In addition to a team of volunteers accepting donations at the intersection, Turning Point will have a donation and drop-off tent set up in the Randy Wiggins State Farm parking lot to accept both monetary donations and new toy drop-offs from 8:00am to 1:00pm.
