The Hursts have graciously agreed to host the Arts Council of Central Louisiana’s event in their New York-style loft home at the corner of 16th Avenue and Washington Street. Built in the late 1930’s, the building originally housed a hardware store. The converted building – which the Hursts spent three years renovating – features wooden floors, exposed brick, iron beams and huge iron-framed windows and includes 5,700 square feet of heated space and 14,000 total square feet.
Tickets for “A-Town Jazz” are $20.00 per person, which includes the cost of the entertainment and light hors d’oeuvres. There will be a cash bar (beer and wine only). The doors open at 6:30pm with entertainment beginning at 7:00pm and ending at 9:00pm. Parking is available next to the Hursts’ home and in the immediate vicinity. Patrons are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance by calling the Arts Council at (318) 443-4718.
