The Arts Council of Central Louisiana is proud to announce the opening of its new jazz club, “A-Town Jazz” in the lobby of the Coughlin-Saunders Performing Arts Center at 1202 3rd Street in downtown Alexandria on Friday, August 27th.

Artists performing at the premiere include the popular Lukejazz Trio from Natchitoches featuring Luke Brouillette on guitar, Joe Williams on bass and Sammy Nix on drums joined by vocalists from the community.  Admission is $20.00 per person, which will cover the cost of the entertainment and light hors d’oeuvres.  There will be a cash bar of beer and wine available for purchase.

The doors will open at 6:00pm with entertainment beginning at 6:30pm and ending at 8:30pm.  Tickets will be available at the door and in advance by calling the Arts Council at (318) 433-4718.
