Thursday, November 14th, the 2013 Cenla Holiday Happenings Fair will take place at the Country Inn & Suites Hotel and Convention Center in Pineville from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.  This fair has become a popular annual event, sponsored by State Representative Chris Hazel, who represents Louisiana House District 27.

The idea for the fair began in 2009 after Rep. Hazel served his first term in the Louisiana Legislature.  He wanted to provide a way to give back to the citizens of the community that were so supportive of he and his family.  The result was a showcase of all the various civic, community and service organization offerings, both during the holidays and throughout the year!  “Central Louisiana is a special place to live, and this is a great opportunity for our citizens to obtain information about the resources available and events taking place right here in our own backyard,” explains Hazel.

The 2013 fair promises to be the best yet! Over forty local and community organizations, vendors, service and charitable groups will participate.  There will be drawings for door prizes, a balloon artist, refreshments and entertainment.  In addition, Fire and Police equipment will be on display, along with a petting zoo for the young and young at heart.  This year’s featured entertainment will be the Red River Jazz Band, who will perform a three hour concert which will include a mix of Christmas Jazz arrangements and big band standards to enjoy as you stroll through the vendors.  The Voices of LC will perform at 7:00pm.

There will be lots of photo opportunities and fund, so come out and bring your entire family! Admission is free and there truly is something for everyone!
