The annual Lobster Dinner and Silent Auction benefiting Hope House of Central Louisiana will be held on Sunday, August 12th, at 6:00pm at Tunk’s Cypress Inn.  This event serves as the organization’s primary fundraiser, providing significant contribution to the operation of Hope House.  Hope House is a transitional housing program for homeless women and their children.  The facility, located in Alexandria, provides not only a safe home, but also offers life, career, and parenting skills training and more to transition these families into permanent housing–not just giving a hand, but also a hand up.

Hope House is supported in part by grants, but the remainder of its funding comes from local contributions and fundraisers like Lobster Dinner.  With your help, Hope House is building futures full of hope for many homeless women and their children in Cenla.  Everyone is invited to join in the fun and exciting 2012 Annual Lobster Dinner Fundraiser.  Sponsorships range from $350 to $3,000, and individual tickets may be purchased for $75.00 each.  Hope House is also requesting items for the Silent Auction.  For additional information, call Kim Shafer at Hope House at (318) 487-2061 ext. 211.

Hope House is also raffling off a 2012 Harley Davidson Softail Heritage Classic.  Tickets are $20.00 each, and only 2,000 will be sold.  The drawing will be held at Renegade Harley Davidson’s 8th Anniversary Event on October 6th at 4:00pm.  Tickets are available at Renegade Harley Davidson, located at 2030 North Mall Drive in Alexandria, or by contacting Hope House at (318) 487-2061.
