HoliFest ’16: Unity in Diversity

CASA Holi Fest-webIt’s time again for the celebration of Spring, Life, Unity, Community, and Downtown Culture! Join us May 14th for the 5th Annual HoliFest!

Playing colors with each and every one brings a feeling of spirit without any distinction of caste, creed, color, race, status or sex. It is one occasion when sprinkling colored powder (‘gulal’) or colored water on each other breaks all barriers of discrimination so that everyone looks the same, and universal brotherhood is reaffirmed, just like the gumbo that is Downtown culture. This is just one simple reason to participate in this colorful festival, and the other is to help CASA kids. Open your hearts and have simple fun!

HoliFest highlights include Indian dance, live music, and authentic Indian cuisine plate lunches for just $10.00, Henna by Tory, and a 4K walk, run, jog for CASA! Registration, which includes an event t-shirt is $40.00 for individuals.  Walk/Run/Jog participants should arrive between 10:00am and 10:30am to pick up tickets and 4K bibs! Please arrive by no later than 10:30am to make sure you’re ready for the 4K start at 11:00am! HoliFest promises activities for all ages and the largest, free Holi Colors in Central Louisiana!
