At the Rapides Children’s Advocacy Center, our mission is to help heal and champion abused and neglect children throughout Central Louisiana. Now is the time for you to get involved by doing something in honor of April as National Child Abuse Awareness Month. We have many chances for you to get involved this month to support abused and neglected children in our community. Take a look at the upcoming events:

April 1st we kicked off the month with a community prayer vigil in honor of the many children who have experienced and died from abuse and neglect. We would like to extend our gratitude to the City of Pineville for hosting the event.

April 4th is the Walker Automotive fishing tournament at Kincaid Lake in honor of Child Abuse Awareness Month.

April 5th is ‘Go Blue for Kids’ Day at all Avoyelles and Rapides Parish Schools, where children may wear the color blue to help raise awareness.

April 23rd there will be a fundraiser cook-off and classic car show organized by the Central Louisiana Realtors Association. This will be a family friendly event located in the parking lot of Red River Bank on Centre Court in Alexandria from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Tickets will be available for food and beverages; all proceeds will benefit the Rapides Children’s Advocacy Center and CASA.

April 25th will begin the start of CASA Advocate training classes in Rapides parish! If you are interested in joining this class, give us a call at (318) 445-5678.

April 26th is Wildwood Pizza Day! A portion of proceeds from all sales on

CASA_Logo_Color_VertApril 26th will benefit the Rapides Children’s Advocacy Center and CASA. Stop by Wildwood for a delicious lunch or dinner for a great cause!
